Neuroscience Based Learning Design Workshop

With the rapid pace of change becoming a new normal in our modern world, learning has never been more important as a means of survival for organisations and individuals. To remain agile in the face of change, we must learn to unlock the power of effective learning strategies. But with elements such as the pandemic and ever-increasing demands on our attention, this isn’t always as straightforward and designing and delivering effective learning can be a daunting task. The new normal of blended, virtual and eLearning approaches has been forced on many trainers and organisations without much understanding of how to merge these new worlds effectively.

This program will unpack how to develop effective modern learning programs using Neuroscience Based Methods. By understand how our brains learn, we can develop learning content that manages our learners’ cognitive loads, and has an impact on behaviour and results.  Create learning that STICKS and IMPACTS!

Course Overview

MODULE 1: Understanding Your Brain And Learning

Learning Objective: Create a solid understanding of the neuroscience of learning

MODULE 2: Your Content Strategy

Learning Objective: Develop a solid content strategy for your teams and organisations

MODULE 3: Effective Learning Strategies

Learning Objective: How to design information that sticks

MODULE 4: Course OKR’s

Learning Objective: How to create clear objectives and key results for your training

MODULE 5: Course Backbone/Structure

Learning Objective: Master your course structure and information architecture

MODULE 6: Creating Effective Course Notes

Learning Objective: How to create learning aids that will make learners thank you

Who is this course for?

If you battle with the following challenges, then this course is for you:

  • You have an existing training program that was usually delivered face-to-face that now needs to be converted into an online version
  • You have a “work-in-progress” course that is in a Powerpoint or word format that needs to be simplified to translate into online learning
  • You are preparing to write a learning program and want to incorporate effective and simple to understand learning principles from the start
  • You want to upgrade your existing learning programs to achieve better learning retention and engagement
  • You are a Subject Matter Expert and want to monetise your knowledge through online mediums, but don’t know how to structure your content effectively.

 Learning Objectives

After completing this program you will be able to:

  • Boost engagement, increase learning transfer, and enable behavior change with Learning courses
  • Design next-level eLearning using the latest trends in adaptive instruction, mobile platforms, and microlearning.
  • Apply adult learning principles, current theories, methodologies, and techniques to increase learning effectiveness and decrease costs
  • Design eLearning interactions that increase engagement, provide hands-on learning experiences and improve performance
  • Effectively collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
  • Demonstrate knowledge, skills, and creativity related to eLearning instructional design
